reclaimed clay

While natural resources are finite, creativity is not easily limited. In our workshop, remnants of clay are not discarded; instead, they are reclaimed. Here’s how we got about it.

Collecting an excess of trimming

Every trimming process leaves behind bits of clay that are gathered and stored until enough are collected to create a new form

Soak, soften, submerge

The clay is then left in water for about four to five days. Time and stillness turn solid materials into a soft, malleable mixture ready for transformation. Once softened, the clay is brought to the ground and pressed by foot. This age-old method helps us restore moisture and texture to reach the ideal consistency for moulding. By pressing, folding, and mixing it carefully, the clay becomes whole again. It becomes dense, elastic, and ready to be shaped.

Wrapped, rested, and ready

After shaping into blocks, the clay is wrapped and left to mature for several days. Resting allows it to stabilise until it is firm enough to be shaped by hand once more.

reduced plastic packaging

Reducing plastic usage and encouraging our customers to reuse and recycle our packaging

We have adopted recyclable packaging that is free from bubble wrap, ensuring it is safer, more space-efficient, and sustainable. We are aware that billions of trees are cut down into cardboard and paper waste every year; therefore, we invite you to put our packages to good use by reusing and recycling them.
